Dreams... do I write about the dreams I have/had or do I write about the dreams that haunt my nights.....
Why not write about both?
The dreams I have/had......
I always dreamt about being a teacher... that didn't really come true in the truest sense, but the truth is that I teach people every day at work. I impart upon them knowledge that they would not otherwise have.. and isn't that what a teacher does? I also know that I taught my children to be honest, honorable, respectable human beings who know what responsibility and love is ... doesn't that make me a teacher as well??
As far as personal dreams go... I always (and still do) think I will meet my soul mate and have the fullest heart possible... that is a huge dream!
But the dreams that keep me up at night? Well, I dream a LOT about my dog (muttley and trixy) and I dream a lot about my children. I actually had a dream once where I met my great-grandson..his name is Brandon and it will be quite interesting to see if that dream comes true..
BUT my biggest dream of all has to be the dream of seeing my name at the top of the New York Times Bestseller list..... As I say at the front of each of my journals..."Everyone has to have a place to share their dreams!"
I hope all of your dreams come true... if that is what you truly want!

A very interesting read as always. It will be interesting to see if deja vu is indeed accurate in your case.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wayne... and it will be interesting... Unfortunately I don't think I'll still be blogging then....
DeleteI sincerely hope your dream of reaching the Bestseller list comes true - and I see no reason why it can't.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tami...
DeleteThese are good dreams to have! I dream about my kids often at night too, either with them once more being small and in my care, or meeting up in strange situations. I think that a mother's head/heart never disconnects from her children, even when asleep. :-) I'm believing that the Dream Guy is out there for you too! I think there is a soulmate for everyone who wants one! And yes, following our dreams, even if they manifest themselves in a different way than we expected. Good post! :-)
ReplyDeletethanks Josie...I completely agree with you about a mother's head/heart never disconnecting from her children. It is is difficult to see myself as an 'older' person and watching them get older is odd. I still view them as 'my kids!'
DeleteI am hoping to have all your dreams come true also and any way I can help getting you to the top of that list girl I will, you are a remarkable writer and I know whole heartily that it will happen for you Brenda :)
ReplyDeleteI have a star for you to come gather from my blog I say always pay it forward and you deserve to get all 6 stars!
Thanks Janice... for the star... and for being my friend <3
DeleteI hope your dream comes true!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth
DeleteI am quite certain your dream of topping the bestseller list will come true one day! and probably sooner than you think.
ReplyDeleteI have found that I am not dreaming as much these days -- I don't know if it is because I have been writing so much more lately. or if I am just so tired when I finally fall into bed. Or maybe I just don't remember them these days.
Is a mentor kinda like a teacher? Because in addition to our sisterhood, I kinda feel like you are a mentor. You impart not only literary wisdom, but also real life. I feel many of your comments have helped me grow as a mother and as a person.
Love ya! xo
I do think that mentors are teachers and (scraping toe on ground) shucks... thanks for the compliment... I guess none of us really know the impact we have on others.
DeleteI'm so glad you joined us this week Brenda!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your thoughts on Dreams!
