I decided that it would be really funny to join my friends Heather at Acting Balanced and Wayne at Touristic for their Monday Quiz about me.
They post FOUR QUESTIONS that everyone can answer and then you have the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four standard questions you answered!
So without further ado....
1. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you on your birthday?
Most of the time my birthday is completely messed up... it is right around Valentine's day and my family seems to confuse the actual date... but the nicest thing ever was when my kids would 'go along' with me to one of my favorite haunts just so we could spend the day together.
2. What is the funniest thing that ever happen to you while you were on a 'date'?
I haven't been on a date for so long I have absolutely no recollection!
3. What is your favorite backhanded compliment?
You look really nice ... today
(Does that mean you don't look nice any other day?)
4. Have you ever had someone guest blog for you? If so, how was the experience?
No... but I'll take volunteers.... anyone???
My 5th question this week is ...
Would you rather communicate over the phone, via text or in person?
So.... please go check out this hop.....
Happy Monday!!!
I prefer communications in person. Though with loved ones and friends so scattered I prefer text, and then snail mail/email and last phone. I can't stand to talk on the phone.
ReplyDeleteSammie... I am right there with you... the phone is my least favorite mode of communication... but text messaging is not one of my favorites either!
DeleteI prefer in person - then by skype, phone then email then text...
ReplyDeleteright there with you on the in person first... and Skype is sooooo awesome... rather Jetsonsish...but awesome... and text is by far one of the lowest on my list!
DeleteI prefer to speak with a person in person however I am a great lover of SKPYE especially sine my Mom is 5 hours away and my daughter is 16 hours away. I worked for the phone company on the phone 8 hours a day so I am not as good at phoning people as I should be.
ReplyDeleteI also love Skype.... especially when my daughter is half a world away!
DeleteI prefer face to face conversation or email. I don't like talking on the phone--this comes from a former job as a receptionist.
ReplyDeleteLOL... I would think being a receptionist would make you shy away from the phone... or else answer it professionally at home :)
DeleteMy eldest's birthday is on Feb 13 and, as much as I didn't want a Valentine's Baby and was glad when he was born the day before, I STILL try to push his birthday back by one day. Something about holiday birthdays.
ReplyDeleteAs for your question - e-mail, definitely. I've got a bit of social anxiety so making phone calls or talking with someone face to face has a tendency to make me freeze, babble, stammer, and sometimes even cry. With e-mail, I have a chance to think what I'm going to say and make sure it comes out the best way possible before hitting send.
Interesting reason for liking email.... I tend to agree with you though!
DeleteI like the e-mail thing also but if possible at all in person allows me to open up easier!!
DeleteFace to face conversations, of course!!! They all have their place but for real conversation that is what I like the most!!! Great blog hop, Brenda!!! Will have to save this one for some day!
ReplyDeleteSitting down next to each other... or across the table from each other with a hugh piece of pie or cake to share... those are the greatest conversations!
DeleteI am an old school face to face person myself. It drives my students nuts sometimes. Thanks for joining the MQaM and we hope to see you next week too! I will definitely be back for Thursday.
ReplyDeleteI would think as a teacher face to face is the best way to interact... but you can call me old fashioned too!
DeleteI prefer in person using text or phone to set up the in-person. When choosing between the other two, I prefer text (really prefer email) I've just never liked talking on the phone.
ReplyDeleteI am not a huge fan of texting...perhaps because I am so bad at it!
DeleteI like to communicate in person and on the phone but I really, really like to text!!! I know, it's a problem. Love this hop and have to remember to join one of these days!!!:)
ReplyDelete#3 - oh ggggrrrr. How hard is to just say "you look really nice."
ReplyDeleteI prefer face to face - which is kind of weird for a blogger to say, right? phone is my least favourite. I am not always a good phone person. I can ramble on and on. Imagine that - LOL. I don't mind texting if it is brief (nod in hubby's direction). If it requires more than 4-5 texts - then you may call me. I'll try not to ramble.
I am a people person phone isn't a good match for me.
