Joining Josie Two Shoes for Two Shoes Tuesday

This week her topic is DANGER....
I thought it would be fun to post a bit of writing that is actually quite old.......
She drove through the darkness. Every hair stood at full attention, from the top of head all the way down her spine. Her muscles, thick as cords of rope and twisting taut to the breaking point, were tightly wound in her neck. Her fingers twitched on the steering wheel. Her eyes darted between the rearview mirror, the side mirrors and the front window.

Driving usually calmed her down. Not tonight… Not now… Not this time.
She was running from the horror, the evil, the unimaginable.
I’m being followed. I know I am. He’s watching every move I make. There is no way I’m going to escape without his knowing. He’ll find me.
With every sound her body jerked. Her tension exaggerated each bump in the road. Every car that passes was an enemy to be dealt with. The two children, fast asleep in the backseat, were unaware of their mother’s apprehension. They didn’t know their futures were about to be irreversibly altered.
She had given up all hope. This was her only way out.
This is the prolouge to Public Lies.... to find out more about this danger... you can purchase the book!!!!
