Pondering with a Purpose - Vent

Welcome to Pondering with a Purpose -
This is my weekly hop where I post a prompt and you get to write to it on your - come back here and add it to my linky and then we all get to go read what you wrote!
I started Pondering with a Purpose because -- simply put -- I am a writer - - that is what I do (I just can't help myself)! And although I love following all the hops, I wanted to see if I could bring out some creativity in not only myself, but some of my blogger friends as well.

The rules are really easy:
Think on Thursday

1. Grab the Pondering with a Purpose Badge (in my sidebar)
2. Look at the week's prompt
3. Post something on your blog that relates to the prompt - it can be a story, a poem, a picture -- anything you want it to be.
4. Come back here and add the URL from your post to the linky list below.
5. Go check out the other bloggers who have added their links to the list.
6. AND most of all.... Have fun!

This Week's prompt: Venting
I was walking the dog and realized that it was time for a well over due venting session... you know ... the ones where you can say pretty much anything that you want and when you're done you feel better?

Well here goes...

Why are we paying unemployment and welfare to people who are drug addicts? Can't we take the money we're giving them and put them in a rehab facility?
What's the deal with people allowing their dogs to use my front lawn as a toilet? I bring along bags on my walks... why can't they?

Tourists! Let's not even start me with that one.... seriously.... don't they know how to drive??? When I'm on vacation I try not to look like an idiot...why can't they?

How about those people that weave in and out of traffic... do they really think they are going to get to the finish line any faster that way?

AND what's with customer service these days??? or should I say customer dis-service... how many times have you had to complain about the person you are trying to get help from?
Commercials..... hold on tight folks.
What happened to the great commercials with the quirky jingles?
Now all I seem to see are commercials to buy what I already own.... seriously?

One last vent.... when do kids start giving back to the parents they take so much from????

Ok... I'm done... your turn...

I'd love to read your comments, or read your own venting post which you link up... or better yet... both~

Happy Pondering

  1. I totally understand the frustration about kids not giving back. I have to admit that I still feel that way at times - although not nearly so much anymore. It would be hard to have an adult child living at home.

  2. I agree with all your concerns, but Brenda, you need to adopt my philosophy anything you do for your kids consider it a gift, if you get paid back consider it a surprise.

  4. Those are wonderful vents! As for those kids who take so much...maybe they're saving it all up for when they choose our nursing home. ;P

  5. Letting dogs poop on my front lawn is a big, big no-no to me. I always carry a bag and totally hate it when people don't! Why can't they be as considerate as I am trying to be?

  6. Okay, my friend. You gave me something that is a concern: the way people vent. You will have to go to my blog for more:
    McGuffy's Reader. Hugs.

  7. Nothing makes me happier than catching up to or even passing one of those idiot drivers that was weaving in and out of traffic. Or even better, seeing them pulled over!!!
