I started Pondering with a Purpose because -- simply put -- I am a writer - - that is what I do (I just can't help myself)! And although I love following all the hops, I wanted to see if I could bring out some creativity in not only myself, but some of my blogger friends as well.
The rules are really easy:

This Week's prompt: Hot?
Some like it hot... do you?
Now when I wrote that I realized that the question I just posed could be read in many ways.... I had intended it to mean to you like it when the weather is hot... but as soon as I wrote it I realized that I also like my coffee and tea hot, and my water ice cold. I'm not a huge fan of iced tea or iced coffee... although with the weather being so darn hot over the past few weeks I have been pouring my coffee over ice on the weekends.
Don't you love the way I digress during these ponderings?
So... do you enjoy the hot weather? I DO NOT! (reminds me of Green Eggs and Ham.... I do not ... Sam I Am!) It seems as if the weather seeps into my bones and I am in a constant state of sweat... (now do you thing hot flashes have anything to do with that?) ... I am either sweating or sticky from sweat. I cannot drink enough ice water to ever quench my thirst and ... just forget about the nights... I'm not sure when the last time I slept more than 2 hours at a time was. And then I see people actually running in this weather... and I do know that there are people who really enjoy the heat... I am just not one of them ... give me a nice cool breeze during the day, a bit of a crisp bite in the air at night and I am one happy camper!

is it ironic that I am reading this after just getting out of a hot bath? Where I enjoyed so nice ice water to keep me cool
ReplyDeleteAnd now I am in warm pj's. The nights are now cool enough here that we can shut off the A/C and open the windows, so I am feeling a cool breeze. But not so cool that I need to put the duvet back on the bed.
So I guess I can stand the heat... as long as there is something that can keep me cool. make sense?
Now, if you'll excuse me, my dear, the mister is waiting upstairs. presumably for that other kind of hot that you are not talking about ;)
lol.... now I can relate to the hot bath and ice water....

I like this idea of coming up with a topic that can be taken in different directions... I might have to come up with more of those!
I do not get the runners in the heat at all I enjoy summer as long as I can get relief which I do, and I do like hot beverages but not in hot weather. The books arrived thank you so glad because I have 3 days of treatments this week and have caught up on the hollywood gossip from the magazines given to me, not the same as a good book :)) YOU ARE the SWEETEST love you & sending you blessings and prayers for some sleep!

Once again thanks for hosting. I prefer hot weather to cold 99 times out of 100 (though I am not sure that is statistically valid). I hope you don't mind but I took my post in a slightly different direction. Then again which week do I not and you have not seemed to care to date. I really do love this hop - it is my favourite.

ReplyDeleteI do like the warmth but not the heat and I cannot imagine running in this weather. Its been so hot and humid... all I want to do is either sit in the pool or in the AC!!!
