Mondays Musings - Second half of June

I have been doing a great deal of thinking (pondering) about this blog and what I had hoped for it and what it has achieved.

What I had hoped for was to make new friends and gain new readers.... that I have done and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

What I have achieved, however, is the feeling that my 'requirements' are not being fulfilled - so I have decided to make a slight change to my own format ---

I will continue to post Pondering with a Purpose every Thusday
and I will continue to participate in Six Word Saturday as both of those posts get my creative juices flowing... but the rest of the blog posts for the next month will be put on hiatus.

Please follow me by email to catch the posts that are published.... and always if you want to chat you can reach me at: Brenda@brendayoungerman.com

  2. I'm glad you're still going to do Ponderings and SWS but I'll miss your posts on the rest of the days! Use the month off to get caught up on whatever you need to catch up on.

  3. I think we are all feeling the time crunch these days. With my kids wanting to be outside more, and only 1 1/2 weeks of school left: the "time for Mom" is going to seriously dwindle. I've been trying different memes lately too, just to keep it interesting and meet new bloggers. But it still can be a big time suck.

I can't completely let it go though. not yet. maybe not ever. I just like the writing, and reading others blogs too much

gonna miss ya around though :) xx

    2. RoryBore, I think you are a lot like me in this respect. For me, I am addicted to the people connections that have endured the test of time online for the last 13 years. Many have come on gone but so many more have come and we have moved onward and upward--together.

  4. I think hiatuses like this are always good, Brenda. It gives you time to ponder more, get more things done and decide what direction you might want to take your blog down the road.

  5. I see this a lot around the blogosphere lately. The time crunch, too much going on, new direction. I'm glad we still get to read your ponderings and I hope you will return rejuvenated.

  7. I tried to leave a comment yesterday but it didn't go through... It is amazing how this little hobby of ours turns in to a real commitment... I think it is great that you are slowing down. THere shouldnt be pressure to blog... we have enough of that in real life.. I took a few day blogging break and I deciding if I want to slow up even further this summer. Between work, life and editing the book I don't know anymore if I am coming or going...

  8. I am pretty sure I understand your need for time off--for good behavior! I have done same and always return refreshed and with renewed enthusiasm. The last time I did so I was able to return with more focus and motivation for reaching my online goals overall.

    EnJOY your down time, Brenda!

Oh! I think you might like my WoW 100 post today. I share a gem from author John Steinbeck.
