This is the deal: Hilary at Feeling Beachie is the host of this Hop.
Each week, she lists four statements with a blank for us to fill in on our own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own check out her site. If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Jen from Just Another Day. She came up with the last two statements.
This week’s statements:
1. I never ___ on a ____
2. ___ is my favorite holiday
3. I think my ___ is/are ___.
4. When there is a ___ I ___.
My answers:
1. I never take Muttley on a walk on the beach - - she is impossible to clean up and she hates baths.
2. Labor Day is my favorite holiday - it means that summer is almost over and all the tourists are leaving!
3. I think my children_ is/are the greatest people on earth.
4. When there is a sad story about children or animals I usually end up crying.

I can't recall the last time I gave Kimmy a bath. It's hard to manage an 80 pound dog in the bathtub - not to mention cleaning the tub when you're through.
ReplyDeleteI give Muttley a bath in the back yard with the hose.... so it is never a FUN task!
DeleteI hate seeing sad stories about children or pets. I usually have to change the channel or stop reading... I just can't stand it and then try not to think of something happening to my three. :( I give my big pooches her bath in the backyard, too. She's due for one. The Yorkie gets hers in the tub or sink... she only weighs about 5 lbs soaking wet!!!
ReplyDeleteMultiple dog baths... how fun!!!
DeleteI bet you do love when the tourists leave!!! Funny how it is all a matter of perspective, huh? I love the beginning of summer and you are probably just ready for it to be over and done with!!! Great answer for number 3!!!! I am sure they are the greatest people on earth with you as a mama!!! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteIt is perspective and that's what make the world so interesting!
DeleteAnd thank you for the compliment and Happy Friday to you too!
I hate seeing sad stories about animals!! I can't even watch the nature shows on TV where wild animals are attacking each other. I know it's the circle of life but they're all like big puppies and kittens to me!!
ReplyDeleteNOW that is a bit extreme... not sure that they feel the same way about us!
Deletemy only dog experiences are with labs - and they love the water so much, they would jump off the dock and swim behind the fishing boat! we'd eventually just have to pull them onboard because they would swim so far!
ReplyDelete#4 - so agree. I just finished the most horrifying and heart-wrenching book called The Blue Notebook. I can't say that I would recommend it - it's a truly difficult read and will likely haunt me forever. But the subject matter demands our attention and action. And the author dontated some proceeds to charity.
OH my..... you might not be as enthralled with Hidden Truths, sorrowed Souls and Restored Hope ---- tough subjects and many sad moments :( ---- but great reads (if I do say so myself!)
DeleteI would think that you would take mutley on beach walks... Always wished my dog came for a visit to marc's for a beach walk...
ReplyDeleteI used to take her to the beach and there are these ground squirrels all around here that live at the beach... She loves to stick her head in the holes in the ground. Nothing funnier than a dog tail sticking straight up in the air.... but she also got sand imbedded through her fur and I could NOT get it out! Now we just walk around the neighborhood!
DeleteI wish I could walk my dog on the beach...wish I was near a beach. And children and dog movies always make me cry.
ReplyDeleteLOL..... you could always move :)
DeleteI work in behavioral health and some of the stories I hear are just awful. It makes me very happy to work in the computer department. I would probably be arrested for assault if I had to deal with those parents.
