Monday's Musings - MLK Day

Happy Holiday - to some of you! ME?  I have to work!!!
So? How was your weekend? ME? I went to a wedding shower in Santa Barbara.... my eldest son is getting married - in 4 weeks! The shower was small - only 14 people were there - but this was the funniest part about it - her mother threw the shower - - and the game we played was a memory game where she passed around a tray of kitchen gadgets that we had to remember and then write down. How many of you have any clue what these things are:
Cuisipro® Apple Corer

Call me old-fashioned - but I've managed to make everything work in my kitchen - for years - with a knife and I had NO idea what any of these things were!

The shower as a whole was very nice and my future daughter-in-law got some nice gifts. The icing on the cake had to be when her step mother said good-bye to me and said, "It was very nice meeting you Raine." - Raine is my ex-husband's girl friend.

SO....  How was your weekend?

  2. Oh Lord I'm gonna need for her to do better. Instead of remembering kitchen gadgets, she should try remembering names. Anywho, congrats to your son! I hope he's very happy and fulfilled in his marriage to come.

  5. I don't have any of those gadgets and wouldn't have a clue what they are! I can't believe she did that - bet it was a little awkward for a minute there! I'm sure she feels bad though - if that's any consolidation.

  6. This is so funny! I love gadgets but I don't know about a couple. And the name thing, I would have burst out laughing. I'm sure you handled it with so much more grace than I would have.

Have no idea what any of those things are. My kitchen is pretty much sponsored by Pampered Chef. I do have a strawberry huller.....which I never use. But I do love my pickle plunger!
