First let me say that I hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween whatever it is that you choose to do. Halloween brings back so many memories for me - both from my childhood and from when I had kids at home and we would decorate the house. We had a fog machine and would turn out all the lights and scare the every living daylights out of the neighborhood kids. Tee hee hee!!
Now I don't do much of anything.....oh well.....
This has been a transitional weekend for me -- for quite a few reasons - -
First --- Friday I realized that I really need to make some changes on a professional level and that there is nothing really keeping me locked into my current location. With that in mind the world is really open to all sorts of possibilities and that has my mind - literally - racing!
Saturday was very BUSY - I started out with my passion of feeding the homeless and then drove two hours to participate as my sons opened the doors to their business - a Produce store. I stayed with them for the day and then drove home - - and as I drove home I realized that my family is really what drives me and that priorities need to be shuffled. I have been struggling to finish Skewered Halo for some timeline that is only in my head - and that it is not going to make it - and that is okay! It is taking a completely different path and it will take a little longer to get there. In the meantime I am developing the new book - Ferry Tails and it is going to be great!
I will say this though --- Romance Scamming is HUGE and the more research I do the more I am blown away with how sophisticated these creeps are. Do they not even care that they are playing with people's emotions?
Sunday I spent the day writing, playing catch up and doing things that really needed to get done....
How about you? How was your weekend?
Our week end found us covered in snow!!!
ReplyDeletePumpkins, fall flowers, tres...covered in beautiful white snow...a definite surprise but fun!!!
Sounds as though you have a lot on your mind!!!
Good luck to your sons on their new business adventure! I'm sure it will be successful!! Always good to find oneself in a transitional time to redefine or perhaps make new goals!!

Patty--- I would love to see pictures!
ReplyDeleteBetty - I agree -- new goals are a must!
Brenda - we haven't chatted in while. Email me. Is all OK? Did something happen? Good luck to your sons! I love that they are in business together!
ReplyDeleteHilary...all is okay...just a part of life....and I love my sons being in business too!
ReplyDeleteWhat is romance scamming?
ReplyDeleteI didn't do anything for Halloween either. I have a huge brief due and I spent a frustrating night doing research.
Alexis...romance scamming is when someone pretends to be interested only to get money - it is HUGE business. The saddest part about it is that these scammers really have NO concern about the hearts they are playing with!
