Welcome to another edition of Tuesday's Spotlight. This is where I get to introduce you to one of the bloggers I have encountered in my ramblings along this vast highway of the internet in my blog hops or curiosities.
Today's guest I met through a blog hop and I became her follower. When she set up a HUGE giveaway I said I would like to participate. Since then we seem to keep corresponding. She has a blog about romance books and although I am not necessarily a romance novelist, I think we all are romantics deep down inside. So, today I am turning the spotlight on Nat from Reading Romances:
How long have you been blogging?I have been blogging for about 4 months!
How did you get started?I'm a very avid reader. After reading some blog reviews for a few months I thought: "Hey, I would love to do that!". First, I started by writing book reviews for a few places around and then when I felt like was ready and could handle it, I decided to start a blog!
How many blogs do you have?
I have 2 blogs: Reading Romances and Small Blogs, Big Giveaways! Reading Romances is my main blog, where I can write about what I read that is related to romance. Small Blogs, Big Giveaways started as a project inside Reading Romances, where blogs could get together to host one big giveaway! It was such a success that I saw it needed a place of its own. I also think about expanding and creating a blog to share for my passion of historical romances. I believe there's very few blogs focused on that genre.
What do you blog about mostly?
I post about romance books and my reviews. I love having guest post and giveaways too! Interviewing is an experience that I truly love, I post a few now and then.
How many hours a day/week do you spend on your blog?I blog everyday. Blogging is hard work. You need to have good content, spread the word about it! I usually spend at least 2 hours a day working with blog related things.
How did you come up with the name for your site?
That's an interesting question. I wanted it to be something simple and that people would easily remember. I thought about "reading about romances" and then "reading romances"! It's not related to the romance genre but all the romances out there, all those fictional characters falling in love!
What is your favorite part about blogging?
My favorite part is getting to read these amazing books I would never know about if I didn't blog. It's such a privilege.
Your least favorite part?Writing one or two hearts reviews. I hate writing those, but readers deserve to know my honest opinion.
Have you ever posted something that later you went back and saw and regretted?
No, thankfully! I always think twice before posting.
Have you learned anything about yourself since you started your blog?
That I'm good at interviewing and that I love it! Some people said I'm a good reviewer too!
Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting a blog?
Get social, be out there and let everyone know about your blog. Try to create something unique and work hard on good content. People have to like the content to become regular readers.
Anything you would like to add?
Thank you for interviewing me, Brenda, I really appreciate it! I would also like to thank all my followers and and the authors that let me review their work. I'm very grateful. If you don't know my blog, please stop by at Reading Romances , read a couple of posts and consider leaving a comment or sending a book review request (under the Review Policy page)!
