Interview

This is VERY exciting !!!!!

I have an online interview that is being featured at the following location. You really should go check it out!

A. F. Stewart's Blog: An Interview with Brenda Youngerman

Book Review

I don't normally toot my own horn on my blog...I find that rather - - Oh I don't know - - Rude - for lack of a better word.
BUT - I am making an exception today because one of my new friends has posted a review of Restored Hope that I think is worth bragging about. Now the reason I say that is because she really caught the very essence of this book and she HATED the cover when she started this review. Color me crazy - but EVERYONE loves the cover of Restored Hope, and I mean EVERYONE - except Brandi -- go figure!

Oh well - go check this one out and let me know what you think - - let Brandi know too!

Besides, I love her blog so much!

Forgiveness

Have you ever done something so terrible that you can't even look at yourself in the mirror without being angry? You know you were wrong and you know you hurt someone else, but an apology is really not going to solve anything! Of course, there is the canned answers:

Time heals all wounds
What happens if you don't have time? Then what?
For those of you that are new blog followers, you are probably reading this wondering what did she do that was so bad? Is she really asking us for our opinion? ---- The answer ---- I didn't ---- but I have a character that did ---- what are your answers? I'd love to hear them!
Here's the real question ---- if someone does something that is so horrible to someone they love and they KNOW it was wrong and it hurt the other person all the way down to the quick -- an apology is not enough. And time is not on their side - - What would you do?

Freaky Friday

I thought I would do something a little different today!

I found myself thinking (mostly because I answered a question this week from Inspired Kathy) about who I would most like to be if I could choose anyone. I've also been diligently writing a new novel that has taken so many twists and turns in a direction I would never have imagined four months ago.

So here I am wondering out loud - well in writing - if you a choice of switching places with an earlier version (or later version) of youself - who and when would it be and why?

Here's my choice:

I would like to be myself as a junior in college - which would have made me 21 years old. I choose that time because looking back on it from this perspective I don't believe that I really valued that time. I had everything at my disposal. I lived in Santa Barbara, California - one of the most beautiful places on earth. I worked as a receptionist part time - how hard could that have been? I attended classes three days a week - I think I even had time to go to the beach a couple of days a week. I remember being a pretty good student.

It seems like - looking back - that I was always in a hurry to get to the next step of life that I never enjoyed the step I was in.

Now it's your turn - - Who would you switch with?
